Permanent protection centres

The three permanent protection centres are located in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Serey Sophon. They receive children who have not been successfully reintegrated with their families. These centres house feed and care for them and provide them with moral and social mentoring. The children receive their education in local state schools. Supplementary classes in the Khmer Language, Mathematics and Foreign Languages are offered by the centre.

The children participate in daily activities, such as house work, gardening, etc. They are encouraged to take part in traditional cultural activities such as music and dance, particularly in the Krousar Thmey School of Khmer Arts and Culture at Serey Sophon. Children in the neighbourhood are also allowed to take part in our activities free of charge. The aim is to ensure that the children living in the centres metamorphose and develop as they grow up. All the ingredients are in place to raise them into independent and responsible adults.
