Source of abundance for Tonle Sap's inhabitants A survey of villagers from Prek Sramoad (not far from Siem Reap) showed that more than 90% of the regional flora is useful or has an economic value. The main resource of the flooded forest is firewood. Meanwhile, the trees and bushes provide shelter for fish, which are caught by the inhabitants.
