Dear friends,
The summer period has been restful and rejuvenating for all our volunteers, who are still involved in the actions we carry out in France to promote and finance the work we do with vulnerable populations in Cambodia.
The initiative taken by Charlotte ST MART, General Secretary of Krousar Thmey France, at the end of May, in collaboration with Yuvachun, the association of young Khmers in France, at the Cité Universitaire de Paris, enabled us to forge relationships with new players in the Cambodian diaspora. At the “Krousar Thmey à la Maison du Cambodge” event, where our association had a stand displaying photos, books, and greeting cards handmade by Cambodian artists, we were able to showcase the NGO’s activities and latest news, and chat with visitors. We also had the opportunity to meet the new Cambodian ambassador, who should facilitate visa procedures for our international solidarity volunteers on future missions.
In the future, we’d like to organize further events of this type to expand our network of volunteers and donors, particularly among the Cambodian diaspora.
